I Behiye Becky Karaman graduated from The University of Hertfordshire with a combined honours degree in Law Major and Philosophy minor. I was an active student at University, as I was a representative voicing student concerns to a panel of teachers. My role was to negotiate and communicate between the teachers and students.

Having shadowed some barristers at a number of chambers and also had work experience in a number of different law firms my aspiration to pursue a career in law, as a Solicitor was confirmed.

I then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, in London 2002. Having acquired a range of experience in my years of training I then became a qualified Solicitor in November 2005

Specialism

Being over 10 years qualified and specializing in the Private Client practice area of law I am able to therefore advice on Wills and Probate, Elderly Client Advice, Lasting Power of Attorneys and Court of Protection work etc.

Wills and Probate work can be very rewarding as I enjoy dealing with the vulnerable and elderly and in particular assisting with their problems and organising their administrative affairs. Wills are important not only to elderly clients but to even young people or young couples anyone with assets. I enjoy advising and educating the general public about the importance of wills and also sharing my knowledge with my clients in order to assist them.

Other Interests

I enjoy a wide range of curricular activities such as helping out at a voluntary run Saturday school. I assist the school by helping organise fund raising social events. I also participate in their organised ladies tea parties and trips to contribute towards the schools fund raising. I am also part of a networking group called WeNetwork and attend on an ad hoc basis other Networks such as north London Chamber of Commerce and British Turkish Chamber of Commerce making lots of contacts and constantly meeting new people.

I also enjoy swimming and aerobics and going for walks in the park.
